Okay it’s time to come clean! I did have an addiction that was driving my family crazy.....nooooo mum’s looking at realestate.com again!!! Does this mean we are moving houses again? Yep, that was me, getting restless, searching for my next dream property! Except I was justifying it with....it’s okay,adapting to change is good! When in reality, surfing through all of the amazing looking properties, looking for the bigger and better was actually preparing me for.......my small business in the FUTURE!!!!

Well, what did I do when I wasn’t looking at houses online? I was teaching! I did that for 28 years and yes...I survived! When I knew that it was time for a change, I dared to dream and that’s how Stage the Dream was born!

So, I guess you must be wondering how one gets into this type of field? Of course, at the time I was weighing up whether I could cut it in the real estate world! I soon realised through my research that I could make a difference in the property styling world so I jumped at the chance and signed on with the internationally renowned home staging company, Staging Diva! I wanted to help people by teaching the skills of how they could present and live in their own home while selling! I mean I had done it 5 times already and I knew how stressful it could be. I was sure that there were people who wanted to use what they already had as well as learning how they could present their home to reach their optimum price possible! I thought I could help make things less stressful by providing practical tips and advice!

Before long I had met with a couple of real estate agents who were excited as I was and my journey into property styling began. I couldn’t thank these two women enough for not only believing in my business but trusting me with their clients and a business partnership which still exists today, started. Along the way I gathered a number of other talented agents and studied an OCCUPIED CONSULTATION SPECIALIST course with the talented Bobbie McGrath who owns Successful Staging from the U.S. I met her partner in crime, Tracey McLeod who owns her own occupied property styling business called Presentation Sells down the Gold Coast. I have learnt a lot from these two dynamic women!

Last year I delved into the world of PAINT CONSULTATION, finishing a course to add to my own growing business. I recently surpassed the 500-property mark, which is unbelievable considering I have only been around since March 2018. It’s onward and upward from here with online tuition in the pipeline so that I can help a wider audience. The world is my oyster..........
